Wendy Hale, ND Midwife
Wendy has been fascinated with the healthcare field since childhood. Her memories are filled with doctoring friends, homemade crutches, and ace bandages. After attending her first birth at the age of nineteen, Wendy discovered that women’s healthcare and pediatrics were her life’s fulfillment. As Wendy began her education at the University of California at Santa Cruz, she sought for a means to practice medicine in a holistic way. She was pleased to learn that doctors of natural medicine did exist — naturopathic doctors. She went on to graduate in 2002, with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental biology. Wendy then continued her education at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM), where she began her training in alternative medicine and midwifery. In 2005 she gave birth to her first daughter at home, which reaffirmed her passion for natural childbirth. Shortly thereafter, Wendy began attending home and clinic births, mentoring with two remarkable Naturopathic Midwives in Portland, Oregon.

In 2006 Wendy graduated from NCNM with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine, specializing in midwifery and pediatrics. Since graduating she has practiced Midwifery and Naturopathic Medicine at Motherwise Community Birth Center in Bend, OR and The Natural Childbirth and Familly Clinic in Portland, OR. In the spring of 2009 she gave birth to her second daughter at home. She is now enjoying her own practice at Wise Women Care Associates, serving Medford and surrounding areas. Dr. Wendy Hale is licensed in Naturopathic Medicine and Midwifery in the state of Oregon.
